Takayuki Onozuka, commander, Eastern Army, during the opening ceremony of Yama Sakura 77, Dec. 9, 2019, at Camp Asaka, Japan. The two leaders command the ground components taking part in the exercise. Yama Sakura 77 is the largest premier bilateral command post exercise between the U.S. Army and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
