U.S. Airmen from the 116th Medical Group, Detachment 1, Georgia Air National Guard, and Soldiers from the 265th Chemical Battalion, Georgia National Guard, set up for a joint training exercise at the Cobb Safety Village, Marietta, Ga., Oct. 19, 2019. The training event was conducted to exercise their response capabilities to natural or man-made disasters as a part of the Homeland Response Force. Should a disaster occur, the Army and Air National Guard Units work together assisting civil authorities to provide search and extraction, decontamination in case of a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear event and medical triage to care for patients on the scene.
