Time can steal the gains of our most advanced technology.
Time can weaken and destroy essential components.
Time can make the most precious of things useless.
But what if we could slow the ravages of time? Mitigate the effect time has on the physical properties of the things we depend on to protect our nation?
There is an Air Force organization dedicated to doing just that. On Hill AFB in Northern Utah, a group of skilled craftsmen are committed to slowing the effects of time.
These artisans are solving problems and recognizing opportunities to excel in ways never before imagined.
The 309th Commodities Maintenance Group is the Technical Repair Center for a diverse set of critical aerospace components.
The group is responsible for maintaining, repairing, overhauling and fabricating aircraft parts, enabling our nation’s unrivaled air superiority.
These skilled workers are uniquely qualified to manufacture and overhaul components to keep critical weapons systems in the fight.
Leaders and staff work together in four maintenance squadrons and two support sections ensure the delivery of quality products on-time and at the best value through a careful balance of speed, safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
Using the ‘Art Of The Possible’, the skilled and dedicated men and women of the 309th Commodities Maintenance Group work hard every day to slow the effects of time. They are dedicated to refurbishing and reclaiming critical aerospace parts vital to the defense of our Nation.
