U.S. Marine Col. Robert Meade, the commanding officer of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, talks about the task force's role in the combined exercises in the Latin American and Caribbean region, and the training opportunities the region offers. The task and Infantería de Marina de Colombia (Colombian Marine Corps) will kick off a week of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief rehearsals and subject matter expert exchanges in Coveñas, Colombia, Sept. 30, 2019. This rehearsal and SMEE are hosted by the Armada Nacional de Colombia and will conduct training rehearsals at Base de Entrenamiento de Infantería de Marina through October 5.
