This technology can help the warfighter in a real-world situation where a medic in a very austere environment that his forces are engaging combat and one of the ground soldiers gets shot in a non-mendable tourniquet area such as the abdominal region. The medic can then go up, take this product, eject it into the belly. It would expand, create pressure, tampon off all the bleeding, and allow time for that soldier to be evacuated out of the country or to a different level of care.
