The Hawaii National Guard completed the third annual Information Systems and Technology Exchange with the Indonesian Armed Forces, Friday, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ISTX is part of the State Partnership Program which links U.S. states and partner nations to build positive relations and support mutual interests.
ISTX was created to further the U.S. and Indonesia’s capabilities in terms of cyber security and information technology. This year the ISTX topics focused on cyber security, an evolution from the first two years’ topics of system hacking, cyber defense, and incident response.
In the theme of information sharing, the exercise used an open source platform developed by the Missouri National Guard to host the training.
Staff Sgt. Marc Masuno, ISTX Subject Matter Expert.
