The US Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District is moving roughly 2.8 million cubic yards of earth to excavate for a new 300-foot-wide emergency spillway at Isabella Lake in Kern County, California. That's about as much material as was used to build the Great Pyramid of Giza. But the Corps isn't building a pyramid. Instead, they crushing the giant boulders to create material for other areas of the project.
