The 142nd Fighter Wing hosted a celebration honoring the 30 years of flying F-15s in Oregon. The first of many F-15s arrived in Portland, Ore. on 24 May, 2019. The celebration consisted of many former and retired wing members gathering on base to participate in tours, take-off viewings, demonstrations, and to watch an F-15 weapons load competition. The competition consisted of teams from Portland, Ore., Klamath Falls, Ore., and Nellis AFB, Nevada. The team from Nellis took this years title, beating out both Portland and K-Falls.
