The 188th Wing's Unclassified Processing, Assessment & Dissemination (UPAD) cell has highly-trained Air National Guard members utilizing their military training to provide detailed information for government officials and emergency workers so they can rapidly respond where needed.
UPAD intelligence analysts provide damage assessment, predictions of damage, evaluate roads for safe use, power line conditions, and anything else that could compromise the safety of people and structures in the area.
These UPAD members provide a valuable service to the state while gaining precious experience that can be utilized to enhance military operations.
