Airmen with the 374th Civil Engineer Squadron power production and fire department conduct an annual certification test of the Aircraft Arresting System (AAS) at Yokota Air Base, Japan, May 30, 2019. An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the Pacific Air Forces' Demonstration Team supported to an annual certification test of AAS. The AAS are designed to safely stop an aircraft that's experiencing an in-flight emergency and cannot land without causing damage.
