NEW YORK (May 26, 2019) The Mets hosted Navy Musician 2nd Class Rachel Vennel, assigned to Navy Band Northeast, to sing the National Anthem and honored World War II Navy veteran Lucille Katz Posner as Veteran of the Game the Mets baseball game at Citi Field during Fleet Week New York (FWNY) 2019. FWNY, now in its 31st year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
