    356th Broadcast Operations Detachment

When Soldiers train in life saving operations, they work in every possible condition and at any time of the day and night. These Soldiers train to enter chemical disaster areas, collapsed buildings, and vehicle pileups. Army Sergeant Cody Schultz, an interior electrician with the 68th Engineer Construction Company out of Fort Hood, Texas leads a team of search and rescue professionals during Guardian Response 19 at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana. Guardian Response is a multi-component training exercise that validates U.S. Army units’ ability to support the Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) in the event of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) catastrophe. Soldiers train on a wide variety of tasks to include decontamination points, search and rescue operations, medical evacuations, and mortuary affairs.
