Fort Sam Houston hosted an open house on MacArthur parade grounds. Throughout the day there were demonstrations from the black daggers parachute demonstration team, Navy combat casualty care demonstration, Fife and Drum Corps and the 1st Cavalry Division's re-enactment group. The event concluded with a fireworks finale featuring a live performance of the 1812 overture performed by Fort Sam's own 323rd Army Band.
