Nearly 40 I Corps #Soldiers from across Joint Base Lewis-McChord competed in the three-day event in seven weight classes. The weight class winners may earn the right to represent the division at the 2019 Lacerda Cup at Fort Benning, Ga.
This critical individual task, allows competitors to demonstrate their hand-to-hand combat skills.
As the competition progresses additional skills are introduced in a graduating fashion, advancing from grappling in the preliminary to striking in the final round.
