Advanced culinary NCO, Staff Sgt. Carlos Mercado speaks on career advice for all culinary specialists during the 44th Annual Joint Culinary Training Exercise at Fort Lee, Virginia March 8. The Isabela, Puerto Rico native serves as an advanced culinary arts NCO, with 426th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team "Bastogne" 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). The exercise, administered by the Joint Culinary Center of Excellence, is the largest American Culinary Federation-sanctioned exercise in North America.
