U.S. Army medics conduct air medical evacuation training at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, Romania on March 1, 2019. The multi-unit exercise included soldiers from Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 16th infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division and 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, to evaluate the response time of a medical evacuation from MK Air Base out to Constanta, Romania. The training provides the Soldiers the ability to improve readiness and interoperability with ally and partners in order to respond to threats and global crises for upcoming missions.
