The U.S. Army Small Arms Championship kicks off in week here at U.S. Army Fort Benning - so let's take a look back at 2018.
The week-long competition has more than 260 Soldiers from across the United States, from all components, compete in rifle, pistol and multigun matches to test their marksmanship skills.
The annual competition is hosted by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and is part of the Competition in Arms Program and has the intent to develop marksmanship skills at the entry and intermediate level and recognize superior skill at the highest levels, all while raising the standards of marksmanship and increasing lethality across the entire force.
