Major General Pete Johnson, U.S. Army Pacific Deputy Commander, discusses the non-combative evacuation (NEO) portion of the Cobra Gold 19 Exercise in Phitsanulok, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 17, 2019. Service members from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Royal Thai Armed Forces and U.S. Army participated in this portion of Cobra Gold 19. Exercise Cobra Gold is the largest Theatre Security Cooperation exercise in the Indo-Pacific region and is an integral part of the U.S. Commitment to strengthen engagement in the region.
