PATUXENT RIVER, Maryland (Feb. 6, 2019) - NAS Patuxent River Security and Emergency Response personnel participated in a Personnel-Carried Improvised Explosive Device drill on the installation Feb. 6 as part of the Citadel Shield/Solid Curtain 2019. Conducted by Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Commander, Navy Installations Command, the two-week, two-part exercise uses realistic drills and scenarios to enhance the readiness of Navy security forces and ensure seamless interoperability among the tenant commands, fire and medical services, and agency partners.
