During Combat Search and Rescue or C-SAR training, Selfridge Airmen were assigned to simulate the personnel aboard a downed helicopter. During the scenario, 107th Pilot, 1st Lt. Garit Hayward worked alongside Army Blackhawk Pilot 1st Lt Anthony Minissale from Ft Drum New. York, to use their issued survival equipment to coordinate the safe extraction from a potentially hostile environment.
