Pfc. Cash D. Smith, a cavalry scout assigned to 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, is December's Strike Soldier. Smith stands out amongst his peers by winning Company B's Oct. Soldier of the Month, achieving expert on the M240 Machine Gun, and getting selected as a C13 Bradley gunner. His unit can always count on his positive attitude and eagerness to work from the moment he arrived to the unit earlier this year. Both of those qualities have made him very successful during Operation Inherent Resolve- Syria and at the Iron Brigade.
