U.S. Army Soldiers undergo physically and mentally challenging tasks to earn the coveted Expert Field Medical Badge on Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Nov. 7, 2018. More than 250 candidates tested on myriad tasks to include tactical field care, basic Soldier skills, radio communications and a timed 12-mile foot march. Capt. Christian Koscinski, the EFMB officer-in-charge, explained that only the best qualified candidates will earn the badge. Spc. George Mitchell, an EFMB lane grader, listed the different categories of testing. Finally, Spc. Steven Murden, a badge recipient, described how it felt to earn the EFMB badge.
