Mississippi Army National Guard Soldiers of the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team, headquartered in Tupelo, are currently deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Spartan Shield. They are stationed at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Operation Spartan Shield is a contingency operation designed to deter and react to possible threats in the Middle East region.
