Students, families and community members of Marine Corps Air Station New River joined together to dedicate the newly renovated DeLalio Elementary School to Lt. Col. Armond Hector DeLalio at MCAS New River, N.C., October 18, 2018. Lt. Col. DeLalio served in the Marine Corps with distinction in the development of the Marine Aviation Helicopter program. He was awarded the Navy Cross, two Purple Hearts, and Presidential Unit Citation with Ribbon Bar; American Defense Service with Base Clasp and Star; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign; World War II Victory; and National Defense Service during his career.
