    Allied Joint Force Command Naples

In 2019, Germany will take the lead in NATO’s Very high readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), a multinational response force capable of swiftly responding to crises with air, land, maritime and special forces assets. Here, soldiers with the Bundeswehr’s Panzerlehrbrigade 9 – which will become the VJTF’s land component – practice moving their tanks across the Weser River with the help of amphibious ferries.

Footage includes shots of German Marder Infantry Fighting Vehicles and troops preparing to move out, boarding ferries, and crossing the Weser River. Footage also includes various drone shots of the river crossing. Interviews: Brigadier General Ullrich Spannuth, commander of Panzerlehrbrigade 9; and 1st Lieutenant Helge Lammerschmidt, a combat engineer officer.
