In the October Commentary, Colonel Jeffrey Barnett, Tenth Air Force Deputy A-4 Director, discusses the Commander Directed Compliance Assessment program.
The purpose of the CDCA is to educate, mentor, and train, to ensure our units are performing at maximum efficiency and complying with technical data and regulatory guidance.
The CDCA is a non-graded assessment that examines how well personnel perform their jobs, follow regulations and technical orders, complete documentation, and train personnel.
The main objective of a CDCA is to provide leadership with a snap shot of how well maintenance, logistics, operations and personnel functions are being performed.
The compliance team will work closely with the units to help individuals improve their job knowledge and skills. Additionally, they will provide best practices from other units to help standardize processes throughout Tenth Air Force.
The CDCA is an external assessment of how our units are performing, and they provide validation of internal processes.
The results inform unit commanders as well as the Tenth Air Force Commander whether unit functions are being performed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with directives.
After each assessment units are given a summary report of the observations noted by the team at an out brief at the host location. The final report is sent to the unit commander within 30 days.
The CDCA program is a way for Tenth Air Force Reserve Citizen Airmen to take care of each other and increase mission success. We will identify strengths and areas for improvement to ensure each of our units is performing to the best of their ability.
By taking care of our units, we ensure Tenth Air Force is “Always There”
