A chain of custody ceremony was recently held at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 13, 2018. Amy and Eric House, wife and son of U.S. Marine Corps Capt. John A. House II, arrive at the agency to receive his remains. Capt. House went missing in action June 30, 1967, when his helicopter went down during a reconnaissance mission over South Vietnam. The remains will be transported to Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, where he will be buried with full military honors. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
