Seven Soldiers from Detachment 1, Charlie Company, 1-169th General Support Aviation Battalion, who trained in swift water helicopter search and rescue operations, were placed on state active duty orders in preparation for the aftermath of Hurricane Florence on the east coast of the U.S. later this week. The unit will weather the storm in Knoxville, Tennessee, and wait on standby until called upon by one of the states affected by the storm.
