A look at four planes the newly established 349th Troop Carrier Wing flew from 1949 to 1956 at Hamilton Air Force Base, California. All four were trainer aircraft that helped hone the flying skills of the Reserve Citizen Airmen following World War II and through the Korean War. The countless hours of flying training missions over the Northern California coast served them well when the call to war sounded again in the decades that followed.
