The U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon performed at Sun Valley High School, in Monroe, North Carolina, as part of Marine Week Charlotte Sept. 4, 2018. The Marines, stationed at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., traveled to Sun Valley High School to demonstrate their silent drill routine to the students and staff as part of Marine Week Charlotte, a week-long event featuring time-honored Marine Corps traditions, musical performances and other events to showcase the history, military capabilities and community involvement of the Corps.
