A team from Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) prevailed following three days of grueling competition to earn the title of the 2018 Regional Health Command-Atlantic – 101st Airborne Division Best Medic Competition Aug. 2.

Soldiers participating in the Regional Health Command-Atlantic - 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) #BestMedic Competition began their day with Combat Water Survival Training at Fort U.S. Army Fort Campbell's Baldonado Pool. The event began with a 50-meter swim in full OCP and boots, with rifle. The event simulates skills a medic would need to rescue casualties from a river, lake or other body of water. 2nd Lt. Haley Guzman, medical officer from 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division explains.
