U.S. Army Reserve soldiers are no strangers to taking civilian skills into their military job, but Maj. Chad Kawakami is doing just the opposite. Kawakami, a professor of pharmacy at the University of Hawaii, invited his students to help out at Tropic Care 18 allowing them a first hand experience of what he is doing in his military occupation.
