    Bel Air Native Participates in International Training Exercise with the Coast Guard

    Bel Air, Maryland native U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Bradley Bishop participates in international training exercise Tradewinds 2018 in St. Kitts and Nevis June 4-12, 2018. Bishop is a Boats Mate 1st Class aboard the fast response cutter USCGC Joseph Tezanos (WPC 1118) and he and his crew are stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Bishop has served for over 10 years and conducts law enforcement activities for his ship and also drives the cutter and small boat. Tradewinds is an exercise designed to conduct joint, combined, and interagency partner-nation capacity building, focused on increasing regional cooperation in complex multinational security operations and humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations. Phase one of the 2018 exercise takes place in St. Kitts, followed by phase two in the Bahamas, and finally phase three in Miami, Fla. (U.S. Army National Guard video by 2nd Lt.
