Marines of the 2nd Law Enforcement Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, conduct close quarters battle training June 5-6, 2018, with Caribbean partner nations during exercise Tradewinds 2018 at the Fort Thomas Hotel in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis. Tradewinds is an exercise designed to conduct joint, combined, and interagency partner-nation capacity building, focused on increasing regional cooperation in complex multinational security operations and humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations. Phase one of the 2018 exercise takes place in St. Kitts, followed by phase two in the Bahamas, and finally phase three in Miami, Fla. (U.S. Army National Guard video by Sgt.
