    TODAY'S GAMES
Round 1: Court 1 UK vs AIR FORCE
    Court 2 ARMY vs USMC
    Court 3 NAVY vs SOCOM

Air Force was flying high early in game one versus the Brits. Team UK was looking for their first win of the Warrior Games and they played a solid first half...but the host team methodically kept pressure on our friends from across the pond and had an 11 point lead, 17-6. To open the second half, USAF went on a 10-2 run and stretched their lead to 27-8. With 5 minutes left to play, Air Force had a 37-10 lead. In the end, Air Force cruised to a 42-14 win.

Army jumped out to an early 4-0 lead 30 seconds into Game One. The undefeated team rolled to a 12-0 lead over 2-2 Marine Corps. The Marines fought their way back cutting the halftime deficit to 18-12. The Marines scored the first bucket of the second half and evidently that made Army mad as they went on a 12-2 run. Army kept it going...39-14 at the 4-minute mark, 43-14 at the 2-minute mark, and a 47-14 final score to stay undefeated.

Navy came into tonight's matchup with SOCOM sporting a 2-2 record. By the looks of it, they really didn't want to go to 2-3 because they were all over Team Special Ops Command. At the 2-minute mark of the first half, the Midshipmen had a 14-2 lead and went to the locker room up 18-2. The second half mirrored the first as Navy continued to roll. At the 6-minute mark, the Midshipmen opened up a 23-4 lead and when the clock hit all zeros, it was Navy winning 31-6.

**Court 3 AUSTRALIA vs UK (Exhibition Game)**
Bracket play began with the 4 seed Marine Corps against team UK (5 seed). It was nip and tuck early but the Marines gained control of the game and led 12-0 with 7 minutes left to play in the first half. UK got on the board and went on a 6-2 run but the Marines got the last 2 buckets of the half to make the score 16-6 at the break. Neither team could score when the second half started...in fact the first bucket didn't come until the 15:17 mark when the Marines made a layup. Another 8:32 passed before another layup basket was made by the Marines. They scored 2 more times giving them a 24-8 lead w/ a minute to play. The Marines advance with a 27-9 win over team UK. USMC will face the 1 seed Army in the next round.

Quarter-final round game 2 of Wheelchair Basketball tournament saw the USAF facing Team SOCOM. Seeds 3 versus 5 had a tight one going early, but Air Force started pulling away and opened up an 13-2 lead with 10 minutes remaining in the first half. SOCOM got on track and scored 10 points in the final 10 minutes of the first half while holding Air Force to just 6 points over that same time frame. The halftime score was 19-10. SOCOM got the second half scoring going with a free throw. Afterwards, Air Force went on a 10- 0 run spanning almost 7 minutes and dominated the rest of the second half winning big 43-13. Air Force takes on 2 seed Navy in the next round of the tournament.

Canada and Australia played for an exhibition game for fun tonight. Australia led 9-6 at the half. Team Australia continued their dominance over the Canadians in the second half and get the "W" by a score of 22-6

    *****SEMI-FINALS*****

    Round 2: Court 1 (1) ARMY vs (4) USMC

    Court 2 (2) NAVY vs (3) USAF

Court 3 (5) SOCOM vs (6) UK (Consolation)

The 1 seed Army took to the floor facing the 4 seed USMC. Army looked like the one seed as they opened up with an 8-0 run to begin the game. The Marine Corps got on the board with a couple of layups but Army tore off 6 more to lead 16-4 at the 10 minute mark. At the half, Army had doubled up on the Marines on the scoreboard, 20-10. Army started the second half the same way they started the game scoring 3 quick baskets in the first 3 minutes and going on a 10-2 run making the score 30-12. From there it was all Army as they win big, beating Team Marine 40-20. Team Army faces the host squad from Air Force in the Championship GOLD Medal Game, Saturday at 2pm.

Air Force (3 seed) was facing a tough Navy outfit in their home gym and got the home cookin going early. USAF ripped off 10 quick points to stun the second seeded Midshipmen. Navy bounced back by scoring 7 of their own but Air Force chipped in 5 more to lead 15-7 w/ 8:41 left in the first frame. When halftime came, USAF stretched their lead to 21-12 over Navy. Air Force dominated the opening minutes of the second half and extended their lead to 29-14 at the 15 minute mark. Navy calmed down and rolled off 6 points to cut the lead to 33-20. But Air Force proved to be too strong down the stretch as the 3 seed upsets the 2, 44-25. Air Force will play Army in the Championship GOLD Medal Game, Saturday at 2pm.

In the consolation bracket, SOCOM faced off against Team UK. This one was chippy and hard fought. SOCOM jumped out to an 8-0 lead early and held it all the way to the half up, 14-0. In the second half there wasn't much scoring, but plenty of action. Crashes, fouls, and tough play was the tone and both teams gave it their all but in the end, it was SOCOM winning 18-4.
