Public service announcement on texting and walking aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, May 31, 2018. Texting while walking is unsafe for you and the people around. The distraction from texting while walking can cause pedestrians to cross roads unsafely, trip or fall, run into objects or people, or get struck by a vehicle. If you are off the installation, the Honolulu Police Department will fine you for texting and walking across crosswalks in accordance with the 'Distracted Walking' Law. Be safe. Be professional. Don’t text and walk. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Luke Kuennen)
