On May 1, 1958, 3rd Marine Logistics Group was created under the name 3rd Force Service Regiment within 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan. Sixty years later, on May 1, 2018, 3rd MLG celebrates it's anniversary as a stand alone unit and remembers the many missions it has supported within the Pacific.
