He was forced to evacuate Afghanistan in 2012. In order to leave on his own terms, he returned in April 2018. Follow his journey of loss, discovery, defeat, and heroism. This is the story of Staff Sgt. (Ret.) John Hosea.
During his trip Hosea was welcomed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he was greeted by the Soldiers of Train, Advise, and Assist Command South. TAAC-South Soldiers are comprised of Soldiers from the 40th Infantry Division, of the California National Guard, and the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. The event was hosted by TAAC-South Commander Brig. Gen. John Lathrop.
