Commanded by a Marine one-star general, Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5) is the first command structure of its kind since World War II. The integrated U.S. Navy and Marine Corps team works collectively to strengthen partnerships with both naval and special operations forces, build relationships with joint and regional coalition partners and enhance crisis response. TF 51/5’s subordinate forces include: USS Lewis B. Puller, an Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Central Command (FASTCENT), Security Cooperation Team Jordan (SCT Jordan), Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC) and the Emergency Resuscitative Surgery System (ERSS).
