South Carolina Army National Guard Soldiers participate in Guardian Response 2018 at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana April 10-17, 2018. The 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade provided task force command and control, firefighters from the 178th Engineer Battalion conducted search and rescue, and the 251st Area Support Medical Company assisted with decontamination during the disaster response exercise. This training is part of Army North's annual Vibrant Response exercise including about 5,000 personnel training in aviation, medical, engineering, logistics and other life-saving tasks during the exercise simulating a demanding disaster environment.
