The United States Army Corps of Engineers Task Force Power Restoration, in a joint effort with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Federal Emergency Management Agency and industry partners, has successfully restored power to 95 percent of customers on the island in the aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Maria. The Unified Command Group and USACE leadership acknowledge that fewer than five percent of pre-storm customers are still waiting for their electricity to be restored.
