    103rd Civil Support Team (CST), Alaska National Guard and the 10th Homeland Response Team (HRF), Washington National Guard respond to a real-world incident involving a tractor-trailer tanker that slid off the road and caused a diesel fuel spill that could have contaminated a nearby stream. The teams happened to be in the area in support of exercise Arctic Eagle 18 which is a statewide exercise involving national, state and local agencies designed to provide opportunities for participants to conduct sustained operations in arctic conditions. The goals of Arctic Eagle 18 are for participating forces to operate in a joint, interagency, and intergovernmental and multinational environment; assess ability to conduct sustained operations in arctic conditions, and integrate new and emerging capabilities.
