A Coalition aircraft strikes an artillery piece firing on Syrian Democratic Forces and Coalition advisors in the Middle Euphrates River Valley, Feb. 7, 2018. The Coalition struck a hostile force that conducted an unprovoked attack east of the Euphrates River Feb. 7-8. Following de-confliction calls between Coalition and Russian officials, Coalition strikes destroyed multiple tanks, artillery and mortars observed firing on the SDF and Coalition forces. The Coalition remains focused on the defeat of ISIS and does not seek a fight with anyone else, but will defend its forces if threatened.
