ARECIBO, Puerto Rico, January 31, 2018- Carmen Delgado and her brother clean away debris and prepare the foundation to properly re-build with cement their father's home. Once a wooden house, the structure was blown away by Hurricane Maria. After being approved for Individual Assistance, the father insisted that they started preparing the home themselves since the demand for contractors was too high. The Delgado family is very aware of how everyone in Puerto Rico has suffered and are determined to take control of their recovery. Andrea Bajandas/FEMA
