Sgt. Tyler Rose was selected as 1st MAW’s Motivated Marine of the Quarter for January – March 2018. Rose constantly encourages and inspires his peers, junior Marines and senior leaders. “The way that Sgt. Rose motivates the ones around him, is he picked up corporal meritoriously, picked up sergeant meritoriously,” said Lance Cpl. Shane McHenry. “He just kept going, he never plateaued. He pushed forward striving to be better.” Rose from Marion, Virginia, is a generator mechanic with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.
