    Full Documentary Video of Montford Point Marines and their road to recieving the Congressional Gold Medal. During their time of service thousands of African American men, eager to serve, flocked to recruiting offices. The first black recruits received basic training at the segregated Camp Montford Point in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

    In 1942 President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 8802 which allowed blacks and other minorities to serve in the military.
