Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, prepare F-35B Lightning IIs to contribute to the air combat element (ACE) of a Marine air ground task force by supporting ground combat element (GCE) missions for Exercise Winter Fury '18 on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Dec. 5. Winter Fury provides effective training in expeditionary environments to ensure 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing remains combat-ready, deployable on short notice and lethal when called into action.
