Members of the 158th Fighter Wing secure the flag during a retreat ceremony at the Vermont Air National Guard Base, S. Burlington, Vt., Oct. 15, 2017. Retreat is a traditional military musical ceremony carried out at the end of the duty day, originating in the playing of drums and bugles to tell soldiers to return to camp for the night and serves as a ceremony for paying respect to the flag.
