Hometown Hero, Dr. Brian Smith, President and Treasurer of the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum, awaits an incentive flight with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, on August 20th 2017, during the Selfridge Centennial Open House and Air Show. As director of youth programs for the Detroit Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen Inc., Smith uses his personal aircraft to support the programs and helps maintain seven aircraft at the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum.
