Bosnia and Herzegovina is hosting a multinational disaster response exercise from 25 to 29 September– called “Bosna i Hercegovina 2017” – involving 34 NATO and partner countries. Around 1,200 participants are being tested on international cooperation and interoperability in disaster response, including water rescue and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) detection, protection and decontamination. This is the 17th international field exercise organised by NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the first one hosted by Bosnia and Herzegovina. Footage includes shots of first responders dealing with a car accident and CBRN teams dealing with a chemical spillage.
